First Impressions Team
Summary
This team plays a vital role in our church since many people decide whether or not to join IBC by how welcome they feel during their first 7 minutes of visiting. Therefore we are always looking for kind, outgoing people to serve on this team as it is an opportunity to express God’s love and sets the tone for the worship service.
PURPOSE
A FIT team member’s primary duty is to make each person that walks through the doors of IBC feel comfortable and welcome so that they will can hear the Gospel and hopefully take further steps towards knowing, showing and sharing Christ.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REquirements
Various Team Responsibilities:
Arrive on time for the team huddle at 8:30am and be prepared to serve during both services.
Help set-up and prepare the welcome area and building for church services.
Greet people as they enter the sanctuary.
Help people check-in to classes or sanctuary.
Ensure the welcome area is clean and organized during the day.
Provide general information about the church to those who ask.
Assist individuals and families find their Sunday class or seat in the sanctuary.
Assist as needed, with the collection of tithes and offerings.
Take a count of the people at the service.
Clean up the sanctuary and foyer after each service.
Assist in the parking lot when/if needed.
Requirements:
Be warm and inviting in demeanor.
Be dependable and punctual.
Commit serving 1-2 times a month for 1 year.
Be able to speak English on an Intermediate to advanced level.
