CHARLIE LÓPEZ - Youth director
Charlie was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, and has been part of the IBC staff since 2021. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and is currently completing his Master of Divinity through the online program at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Charlie is married to Jackie, who is also an active member of IBC, and together they have a son, Kai. Before joining the IBC staff, Charlie served his community for 10 years as a volunteer firefighter and rescuer. He enjoys the outdoors, being creative, and especially fishing whenever he gets the chance.
Charlie has a heart for serving the next generation and helping young people grow in their relationship with Christ. As Youth Director, he desires to see students grounded in God's Word, growing as disciples of Jesus, and learning to live out their faith in their everyday lives. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside students and their families as they navigate these formative years and discover what it means to faithfully follow Christ.
